Info
Interested citizen science and research, I am contributing to the NASA’s Electrojet Zeeman Imaging Explorer (EZIE) mission, led by the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. Currently, I maintain the only EZIE-Mag deployment in Northern California, operating a sensitive underground magnetometer that measures changes in Earth’s magnetic field as it interacts with the solar wind and the surrounding magnetosphere. As part of a network of dozens of deployments, my station improves regional coverage, enabling enhanced analysis for researchers studying auroral electrojets. For this project, I setup, maintain and monitor the magnetometer while consistently uploading data which can be viewed at the link below.
