J510 Sub-Minimum Diameter Amateur Rocket

Building off knowledge from previous projects, I designed and am built a 38 mm sub-minimum diameter rocket. The rocket is designed around a J510 motor and is planned to launch at XPRS this fall. Through this project, I have learned new composite manufacturing techniques, including carbon fiber and fiberglass layups, while also working on the rocket’s aerodynamics, avionics, recovery system, and custom mechanical parts. This project has pushed me to combine many different areas of engineering into one project.
